Certificates issued through AInsure are cryptographically signed the moment they are created. Scan the code on the certificate and you get an answer in seconds — no account, no phone call to the agency, and no need to take our word for it.
It is a PDF. It can be edited in minutes, and a convincing forgery takes about as long as a real one. In construction it is routine for certificates to be fake or materially wrong — a limit raised, an expiry moved, a policy that cancelled last month.
The party who accepts it is the party holding the risk when it surfaces. Which is why checking a certificate has always meant calling the agency and hoping someone picks up.
Every certificate AInsure produces is signed at the moment of creation, over the facts that matter: who issued it, who is insured, the certificate number, the coverage period, and the coverages themselves.
Change any of them afterwards and the signature stops matching. Not “we will look it up in our database” — the document itself stops checking out.
Every signed certificate carries a verification page with a QR code, and the same link in plain text for anyone without a camera to hand.
It opens a page. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and nothing to pay. It works on a phone, on a job site, in about four seconds.
Whether the document is genuine, and whether the coverage is still in force. They are different questions, so they get separate answers.
A genuine certificate for a policy that cancelled last week is the most dangerous document in this whole business, and it is exactly the case a single green tick reports as fine. So the answers are kept apart.
Is the document genuine?
Answered by the signature. It cannot be faked, and it cannot go stale — a signature made in March still verifies in December.
Is the coverage still in force?
Looked up live, every time you check, because a policy can cancel long after a certificate was correctly issued.
You can also ask to be told if that second answer changes. Subscribe on the verification page and you get an email if the coverage lapses or is reinstated — one click to stop, and still no account.
Once you are monitoring more than one, every certificate you watch is in one place. Your email address is the sign-in: enter it at ainsure.io/holder and a link arrives. Still nothing to install, and still no password.
Certificate tracking services answer “is this real?” with “our records say so”. That is a promise about their database, and it is only as good as their uptime and their honesty.
We publish the public half of the signing key. Anyone — your systems, your broker, your lawyer — can check a signature independently and offline, forever, without asking us anything. Including if AInsure is unreachable. Including if AInsure no longer exists.

Ask the agencies you work with to issue verifiable ones. It costs them nothing, it costs you nothing, and it replaces a phone call with a scan. Send them this page.
Holding one already? The verification link is printed on it, next to the code.
Certificates issued through AInsure are signed automatically, on every tier, at no extra cost. Nothing to configure and nothing to remember.
