A calm, ordered first hour — and a signed record of what the chain looked like at the moment you found out.
Nobody who contacts you can recover this
Fraudsters watch public complaints for exactly this moment, and the second loss is often bigger than the first. Anyone who DMs you offering recovery is stealing from you. Never share a seed phrase or private key with anyone, for any reason, including us — and never send a fee to get funds “released”.
AInsure cannot reverse a transaction or recover funds. Nothing on this page claims to. What it can do is freeze the evidence before it changes.
Revoke every approval on the address
If a contract was given permission to spend, it still has it — draining once does not use the permission up. This is the only step that stops the bleeding, and it is the one people skip.
See what still has accessMove what is left to a NEW wallet
New seed phrase, generated on a device you trust. Not a new address in the same wallet — if the seed is compromised, every address it derives is too.
Assume the device is compromised until proven otherwise
If your seed phrase leaked rather than an approval being abused, whatever took it is probably still running. Do not create the new wallet on the same machine.
Write down the transaction hashes now
Before the page you found them on changes. They are the one thing every exchange, investigator and insurer will ask for, and they are hardest to reconstruct later.
The record separates two things. What AInsure reads off the chain — your balances and every approval still open — is ours and we stand behind it. What you write above is recorded as your account, timestamped, and vouched for by nobody. That distinction is what makes the document worth anything to an adjuster.
